Renault has decided well to take on Hyundai's Creta and Upcoming Maruti's S-Cross Facelift. Renault has officially unveiled its 5-seater crossover - Captur. To begin with, it comes with a front drive system, which the Captur never got. The Captur is 210mm longer than the its European twin measuring in at 4333 mm in length so it isn't sub-4 metres.
It additionally comes with a locking center differential, upstanding ride height and massive-duty suspension system that makes it fierce yet comfortable while off-roading too. Though there might be some homogeneity in design when compared to the Captur, but one thing is for sure that this one looks more belligerent and that's thanks to the herculean front bumper which is more rugged and bulky and nicely unified with a set of C-shaped DRL's.
The Captur will share its engines with the Duster. Renault recently swapped the Duster's 1.6 L Petrol for 1.5 L unit. The Captur, then, is also likely to get the same one in India. The Petrol engine on offer will displace 1.5-litres and is expected to produce 106 PS. The Diesel model will get Renault's 1.5-litre K9K Diesel engine with a VGT turbo. This engine is likely to produce around 109 BHP.
It is expected to arrive in Indian Market to give a head to head competition to Creta & upcoming Maruti S-Cross facelift before Diwali.
