Maruti Suzuki has introduced another taxi adaptation of its Celerio hatchback, the Tour H2, specifically for cab aggregators at Rs 4.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Tour H2 depends on the LXi (O) variant of the Celerio and shares everything with that model. In terms of pricing, it falls between the Celerio's LXi and LXi (O) trims. A feature of the Tour H2 is that a speed-limiting device is a standard fit on the model. Based on recently revised Indian government regulations, taxis have to be equipped with a speed limiting device, which is meant to help curb a large number of road accidents that happen on India's roads.
There are as much as five drink holders inside the taxi variant of Celerio along with integrated headrest, manual air conditioning, pivot type outside mirrors and electronic power steering. Other important highlights are amber illumination colour, accessory socket, black dial type climate control, urethane steering wheel, etc. The exterior looks basic as the entry-level Celerio with remarkable highlights being body-coloured bumper, blackened Outside Rear View Mirrors and Outside Door Handles, 'Tour H2' sticker badge, and body-coloured rear door garnish among others.
The Celerio Tour H2 Taxi is longer than the standard model by 95 mm but other dimensions remain identical. It is 1,600 mm wide, 1,560 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,425 mm. With ground clearance of 165 mm, the model tips the weighing scale at 815 mm. The Celerio Tour H2 is suspended on front MacPherson strut with coil spring and rear torsion beam axle with coil spring. Braking duty is performed by ventilated front disc and drum brake at the rear.
The huge number of safety features incorporated into the Celerio Tour H2 Taxi are driver side airbag, driver seat belt reminder and buzzer, pedestrian protection, head light leveling, front ventilated, disc, maximum speed limit of 80kmph, child-proof rear door locks and engine immobilizer. Other most selling cars from Maruti Suzuki include WagonR, Swift, Baleno and more.
