Range Rover Evoque convertible launch on 27 March

Jaguar Land Rover India will be launching the awaited Range Rover Evoque Convertible on March 27, 2018. This will be the country's first luxury compact convertible SUV and furthermore the primary convertible SUV to be launched by Land Rover, in India.

The new Evoque Convertible will share its underpinnings, powertrain choices and a large group of its highlights with the existing Range Rover Evoque. The convertible SUV will be a two-door model with a small boot, unlike the five-door fixed-top Range Rover Evoque. For those who love driving under the sun, the roof can be operated in just about 20 seconds and travelling at speeds of up to 48kmph.

Visually, the SUV borrows the vast majority of its styling components and will come in a two-tone orange and black shade with the A-pillars and the retractable soft-top roof coloured in black and the lower body in bright orange. The adaptive Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, radiator grille, air intakes, bumper element, wheel arch cladding and ORVMs also acquires some black treatment. The SUV will also come with the alternative of a stylish black alloy wheels and supplementary body elements. In terms of dimensions, the Evoque Convertible is somewhat longer than the regular Evoque at 4,370mm but the wheelbase remains the same at 2,660mm.

Different highlights incorporate - power fold, heated door mirrors with memory functionality, approach and puddle lights, front parking aid, rain sensing windscreen wipers, keyless entry, surround camera system, 12-way electric front seats with memory and more.

The Evoque convertible will be powered by a 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine that creates 237bhp of power and 340Nm of torque. The powerful engine comes mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels. The convertible SUV is proficient in sprinting from 0-100kmph in 8.1 seconds and can accomplish a top speed of 217kmph.
