2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS launched at a price of Rs 2.75 Crore

Porsche has globally unveiled and launched its second-generation 911 GT3 RS in India at Rs 2.75 Crore(ex-showroom, India).

The track-ready GT3 RS receives cosmetic and additionally mechanical upgrades to make it even faster than the standard GT3. The high-performance version gets chassis inputs from Porsche motorsport department along with a four-litre, naturally-aspirated, flat-six engine. The Porsche GT3 RS will keep on using Porsche's 7-speed PDK that has been specially rigged for the GT3 RS' ballistic output, alongside the 21-inch lightweight alloys that sport 325/30-series rubber in the rear, and 20-inch 265/35-series tires up front.

The 911 GT3 RS motorsport chassis now creates 520hp from its four-litre naturally aspirated engine. The new high-performance sports car is based on the 911 GT3, which has been refined still further to merge the performance-enhanced engine with a running-gear setup that highlights re-adjusted rear axle steering designed for maximum dynamics and precision. The 911 GT3 RS accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 312kmph. Following the launch of the 911 GT3 and the 911 GT2 RS, this latest release will witness Porsche present its third GT road-approved sports car within a year.

Carrying forward the signature GT design of Porsche, the new 911 GT3 RS includes a weight-optimized, more aerodynamic body. The racing aesthetic continues in the interior with full carbon-fiber bucket seats providing secure lateral support in response to high-level driving dynamics. The insides now get carbon fiber-backed racing seats, lightweight door panels with storage nets and nylon opening loops. Other weight-saving measures include a reduction in sound absorption material and a lightweight engine lid for the rear-engine model.

The 520PS motor shoots the 911 GT3 RS from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 312kmph. The performance-orientated engine combines with a running-gear setup, including re-calibrated rear-axle steering designed, for maximum driving dynamics and precision. Other cars from Porsche in India include Panamera, Macan, Cayenne and more.
