All New Volvo XC60 Launched In India

2017 Volvo XC60 launched at Rs 55.90 lakh(ex-showroom India)

Volvo has launched the second-gen XC60 in India at a price of Rs 55.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Volvo XC60 is 4688 mm long, 1902 mm in width and 1658 mm in height, and accompanies a wheel base of 2865 mm.

The newly launched SUV is accessible in a single 'Inscription' variant. As compared to its predecessor, the new model is more open, gets more highlights and fresh design upgrades. The XC60 is based on the Scalable Product Architecture platform, which essentially underpins their bigger XC90 too. 

Mechanically, the Volvo XC60 is powered by a 2.0-litre D5 diesel engine that creates 235bhp of energy and 480Nm of torque. The capable engine comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers all of the four wheels. The SUV gets five preset drive modes - Eco, Comfort, Off Road, Dynamic and Individual. The new XC60's wheelbase has shot up by 44mm, is 11mm more extensive and sits shorter by 14mm.

Visually, the new Volvo XC60 looks significantly more sleek contrasted with the previous model and acquires a considerable measure of its design cues from the company's flagship SUV, the XC90. Up front, the new XC60 accompanies Volvo's signature multi-slat chrome grille, flanked by a pair of stylish LED headlamps with Thor's hammer LED daytime running lamps. The sculpted front bumper comes with some subtle lines with, a wide central airdam and some stylish chrome elements on either side. The car also gets a pair of small LED foglamps as well.

On the features front, XC60 gets cooled/warmed front seats with a back rub work, which are in truth a portion initially advertising. The full-loaded variant of the Volvo compares well with its competition's top-end variants like the Land Rover Discovery Sport, Mercedes GLC and the BMW X3.
