Overview
Hyundai has announced relaunch of its new levish sedan Sonata.It is estimated to launch in the early 2018 at an estimated price of Rs 19-21 lakh in India .
Sonata was discontinued from the Indian market due to fuel economy issue. Hyundai tackled the issue by shrinking its 2.4 L four-cylinder gas petrol engine to 2.0 L petrol engine in updated sedan.It is expected to be added with a bigger battery pack and a more powerful electric motor. Talking about Diesel engine,it is expected to use 1.6 L diesel engine with maximum power of 126.2 bhp of displacement capacity of 1582 cc. You can also expect improved brake feel, anti-lock braking system, reliable suspension system, EBS & advance EBD. Fuel tank capacity of holding 52 L of fuel for longer journey and milege about 22.7 kmph.
Sonata is likely to compete with upcoming Volkswagen Passat and Honda Accord in the market.
