Toyota Industries Engine India Inaugurates new Engine plant in Bangalore

Toyota India has inaugurated a new engine plant at Jigani Industrial Area, Bangalore. This new facility will focus on manufacturing the current 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesel engines. Both the engines are currently running under the new Innova Crysta. It is a joint venture between Toyota Industries Corporation (Japan) and Kirloskar Systems.

New engine facility is spread over a massive 2.2 acres of work area, employs more than 1200 engineers and technicians. This engine facility has the capacity to develop 1.08 lakh units per annum. The Bangalore plant will produce 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre and 2GD-FTV 2.4-litre diesel engines. Presently, the company is producing BSIV compliant engines.
