India’s largest automaker is going to launch much-awaited hatchback Ignis soon. First car that can be booked online from Maruti Suzuki is Ignis. It is powered by same set of engines as that of Baleno. Both Petrol and Diesel variants of Ignis will be available with 5-speed manual and AMT transmission. Petrol engine will be a 1.2 litre VVT while diesel is 1.3 litre DDiS engine.

1. New Lightweight and Rigid Platform

Ignis will be the first car with a complete new platform i.e Lighter yet Rigid, as compared to similar cars of Maruti like Swift, Dzire and Ertiga. Its lightweight platform would also be helpful for better fuel efficiency. Its reliable and rigid body shell would allow the car to perform well in crash tests.

2. Safety

Ignis will get dual front airbags, ABS and ISOFIX as standard safety equipments included on its feature list.

3. Full LED headlamps

Maruti Suzuki is going to offer full LED powered projector headlamps for Ignis. Both Low as well as High beam light are brighter due to full LED light source. Ignis is the first hatchback by Maruti to offer a full LED powered headlamp..
