Tata officially announced the launch Date of its much awaited hatchback Tata Zica. Zica will launch on 20 January 2016 with an estimated price of Rs 4 lakh. Tata Zica will be placed below Tata Bolt in lower segment of hatchback and will likely compete with Maruti Celerio and Hyundai i10.

Zica is based on the old Indica platform but it is expected that the interiors will get a total makeover with latest technology, smart phone based navigation, dual airbags, ABS and Harmed sourced audio system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity.

Zica is empowered by all new family of in house developed engines, with 3 cylinder 1.2 L Revotron petrol engine producing 83bhp and peak torque of 114 Nm while the 1.05 L  Revotorq has max power of 69bhp and peak torque of 140 Nm. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission with AMT version expected in the near future.
