Tata is set to launch its new hatchback Tiago in India on March 28, 2016

Tata's most awaited new hatchback Tiago is all set to launch on 28 March, 2016 in India at an estimated price of Rs 3.9 – 4.5 Lakh. Tata recently changed its previous name Zica because the name was in accordance with deadly Zika virus. Tata recently showcased Tiago at Indian Auto Expo 2016.

Tata Tiago will slot in between Bolt and Nano, effectively replacing the Indica eV2, in passenger segment. Tiago will have updated version of the Indica XO platform, bold new design and strong suit of features. It will include new front facade with signature headlight cluster, radiator grille and rear facade that would be completely different from any design of Tata. Inside, it will have new short diameter three spoke power steering and E-clutch transmission that will make its mileage 10% better than previous models. 

It will be powered by Tata Motor’s Revotron family petrol and diesel engines. It will have three cylinder 1.2L DOHC aluminium petrol engine producing 74bhp power and three cylinder 1.05L aluminium diesel engine producing 64bhp power.

Tiago is likely to compete with Maruti Celerio and Hyundai i10 when launched in Indian Market.
