Indian multinational automaker, TATA, has increased the price of Tiago by up to Rs 6,000

Tata Motors has increased the price of its recently launched hatchback Tiago across all variants by up  to  Rs 6,000.

Launched in April this year, Tiago was priced very aggressively. The Tiago, which was officially named Zica, had to be renamed following the mosquito-born disease of similar name. The car’s price along its feature rich interior and attractive exteriors has garnered interest in the youth drivers, with over 30,000 bookings received so far with a waiting period of about four months.

Under the hood, it is powered by two new developed engines, a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that develops 85bhp and 114Nm of torque, and a 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engine capable of developing 70bhp and 139Nm of torque.

Both the engines are mated to five Speed manual transmission and the petrol engine gets an ARAI mileage of 23.84kmpl while the diesel gives of 27.28 kmpl.
