Tata has launched its much anticipated hatchback Tiago, with prices starting at INR 3.20 lakh for the petrol and INR 3.94 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Car is based on Tata’s gen-next ‘Impact’ design philosophy, and is placed between Nano and Bolt.

Mechanically, it is powered by two new developed engines, a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that develops 85bhp and 114Nm of torque, and a 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engine capable of developing 70bhp and 139Nm of torque. Engine is mated to five Speed manual gearbox and the petrol engine gets an ARAI mileage of 23.84kmpl while the diesel will give of 27.28 kmpl.

The Tiago is Equipped with some of the best-in-class features such as, a good amount of cabin space along with a 240-litre boot and numerous storage spaces across the cabin, airbags, cooled glovebox, Harman-sourced infotainment system with USB, Bluetooth and aux connectivity, 14” inch alloy wheels, foglamps, rear wiper and demister. There is a dual-tone dashboard with color-coordinated inserts available as an option.

Tiago's rival will be Maruti Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10.
