Tata Tiago bookings cross the one lakh mark

Tata Motors has announced that its Tiago hatchback has crossed one lakh bookings in India since its launch in April this year.

The company says they have sold more than 65,000 Tiagos since April last year. They are working on catering to the demand of remaining customers whose deliveries are pending. The Tata Tiago is manufactured at the company's Sanand plant and its production is in full swing.

The Tiago is equipped with features such as 20 utility spaces, multi-drive modes, namely; City and Eco. It also boasts of wraparound headlamps, integrated rear spoiler and multi-spoke 14-inch alloy wheels. The hatchback's cabin, on the other hand, is outfitted with features such as dual-tone colour theme, body-coloured air-vents, three-spoke steering wheel with audio & phone control buttons, a touchscreen infotainment system and chrome ended inside door handles.

This sales milestone is a significant achievement for Tata Motors, especially when none of the other Tata passenger vehicles has achieved this landmark. It is offered in petrol and diesel models and recently been introduced with an AMT gearbox in the petrol trim.

The Tiago's success is an important achievement for Tata given that none of the other older siblings had set the company’s cash register ringing. The small hatchback is priced between Rs 3.42 lakhs and Rs 5.98 lakhs (ex-showroom) and recently has been introduced with an AMT gearbox as well.
