Tata unveiled production-ready sportscar, the RACEMO at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Tata Motors has unveiled its first sports car, the TAMO RACEMO at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The car gets a mid-mounted 1.2 litre turbocharged and intercooled, 3-cylinder Revotron engine that develops an impressive 190PS at 6500rpm and 210Nm of torque at 2500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed AMT transmission with paddle shifters.

The sports car is built on the MOFlex Multi-Material Sandwich structure that enables efficient large-scale part integration and at the same time offers great liberty in terms of surface design. Several design elements have been taken from Tata’s new IMPACT design philosophy. To make it more desirable, Tata will pack a host of new tech developed jointly by Tata and Microsoft. Among the various connected technologies, Racemo will come with cloud computing, analytics, geo-spatial and mapping and increased human-machine interface.
