Tata Motors announced new name for its upcoming hatchback Zica as Tiago. Tata, earlier this month, announced to rename its upcoming hatchback Zica as the name sounded similar to a virus called Zika that created hardships in South America.

Following the announcement, company had launched an online contest where visitors could submit their choice of new name for the hatchback. The contest resulted in narrowing down onto three names – Civet, Adore and Tiago, of which Tiago name has been finally selected by Tata.

New Tiago will be placed between Bolt and Nano effectively replacing Indica eV2 and will likely compete with Maruti Celerio and Hyundai i10.
