Tata Motors announces price hike on passenger vehicles from January 2017

Tata Motors has announced price hike across its line-up, owing to the increase price of raw materials such as steel, aluminium, copper and rubber. From January 1, 2017 home-grown automaker is increasing prices of its passanger vehicles depending on the model, ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 25,000. 

In November 2016, Tata Motors has recorded 12,736 unit of sales (passenger vehicles) in domestic market, with a growth of 22 percent as compared to November 2015, when 10,470 unit were sold. The passenger car sales continued its upward momentum with a growth of 26 percent due to a strong demand of Tata Tiago.

Besides this, the company is all set to launch – The Hexa crossover – in Indian market. Tata will officially launch Hexa on January 18, 2017, and its prices are likely to fall in the range of Rs 12-16 lakh.
