Tata Hexa, the long awaited crossover SUV is all set to launch in India November 2016.
Expected price range for Tata Hexa is Rs. 12-16 lakh, it rival Mahindra XUV500 and underut Toyota Innova Crysta as well.
Mechanical features of Tata Hexa is same as 2.2 litre Varicor400 turbo-diesel engine that propels Tata Safari storm. Producing 156PS of power and 400Nm of torque, the engine comes up paired with 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed automatic transmission.
Bookings will begin from November 1'st and the range includes following variants:
XE (7-seater)
XM (7-seater)
XT (6/7-seater)
XMA (7-seater)
XTA (6-seater)
XT 4x4 (6-seater)
Tata Hexa avials a new feature as "Driver-Selectable Drive Mode". Among the two models, the Automatic model comes up with Eco and Sport modes while the Manual comes up with four "Super Driver Modes" - Comfort, Dynamic, Rough and Auto.
The crossover is based on the same hydroformed X2 platform as Aria offering a long list of new and updated features, including 5-inch touchscreen infotainment interface, 10-speaker sound system by JBL, 6 airbags, faux-leather upholstery and automatic climate control.
Given the established competitors the Hexa faces, you can expect Tata to price and promote the model aggresively.
