The odd-even rule that was initiated to decrease pollution levels, is again on the roll out for second time in Delhi from 15 - 30 April 2016. According to the rule, odd-numbered cars are allowed on odd dates while even-numbered cars on even dates, between 8am to 8pm, except Sundays.
The first phase of the odd-even rule was implemented on a trial basis in Delhi from January 1 - 15, 2016 earlier. The first phase witnessed decent success with lesser traffic on roads of Delhi as well as slightly reduced pollution levels.
As enforced earlier, single-woman drivers, cng-powered, hybrid/electric cars, two wheelers and VIPs will be exempted from the second phase of odd-even rule.
