Renault is likely to showcase Kwid in AMT version with 1000 cc engine in the upcoming Auto Expo 2016.  The Estimated price of new Kwid AMT version with more powerful engine could be up to Rs 3.20 – 4.10 lakh.

The new 1.0 L is expected to have a power in the vicinity of 70 horses and max torque of 90 Nm. This will make the Kwid more agile courtesy to its lightweight chassis. Similar to 0.8 L engine, 1.0 L will come with standard 5-speed manual transmission and is also expected to be fuel efficient.

Renault Kwid directly competed with Maruti Suzuki Alto in A-segment cars and with the new Kwid it will compete with higher end Alto K10 and Alto K10 AMT. The AMT box is expected to be all new in-house developed Easy-R AMT.
