Renault India has launched the petrol automatic version of the Duster in India at Rs 10.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV gets a new 1.5-litre petrol mill paired to a CVT unit.
Renault has also made some equipment-level changes in the Duster. The RxL manual trim and the new RxS automatic are equipped with steering-mounted audio controls, eco mode, electrically adjustable wing mirrors and a trip computer.
The RxL variant comes with a gearshift indicator and the RxS CVT version is packed with a touch screen infotainment system, but without the sat-nav feature.
Cosmetically, the petrol automatic is slightly different from the standard model. It gets a blacked out grille, additional decals on the door and boot along with the prominent X-Tronic badging.
The carmaker has powered the Duster with a new 1.5-litre H4K motor. This four-cylinder unit produces 106bhp of power and 142Nm of torque. The X-Tronic CVT has a claimed fuel efficiency of 14.99kmpl, while the five-speed manual version is rated at 14.19kmpl.
