Renault is planning to re-launch the Alpine brand with its new sports car A120 on 16 February 2016. Renault confirmed the news by posting a video on their official twitter account which showcased a short animation with race track footage. The post is lead with a brief message “We wanted to announce our come back but some would say we never left.”

The new sports car from Alpine is expected to come with 1.8 liter turbocharged engine which produces a power of 250bhp to 300bhp. The engine is mated with 7 speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which was developed for new Renault Talisman.
