Nissan slashes Sunny prices, now starts at Rs. 6.99 lakh

Nissan has announced a huge reduction in prices for the Sunny across variants and its range now starts at a price of Rs 6.99 lakh.

Nissan has slashed almost a lakh across all variants of the Nissan Sunny, with the base XE petrol variant now starting at Rs. 6.99 lakh.  The XV CVT variant which was priced as Rs. 10.95 lakh is now available at Rs. 8.99 lakh

The Sunny is now available in 3 petrol variants XE, XL and XV with the top-end only available with a CVT automatic transmission. The diesel gets an additional XV safety variant that gets side airbags as well.

Earlier this year, Nissan updated the Sunny with new all-black interiors and a new exterior paint shade. However, there were no mechanical changes on the update, and the sedan continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine.

With the new pricing, Nissan has positioned the Sunny much closer to the high selling compact sedan segment which includes cars like the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Ford Figo Aspire.
