Jaguar launched its XE in India starting at a price of Rs 39.9 Lakh in two trim levels and petrol engine

Jaguar launched its luxury sedan in India on Auto Expo 2016 starting at a price of Rs 39.9 Lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). It is available in two trims - pure and portfolio and based on an all-new monocoque platform made of 75 percent lightweight aluminium making it much lighter.

The new light weighted XE measures 4672mm in length, 1850mm in width and 4672mm in height. Its looks and styling are inspired by XF and XJ Sedan. Exterior has bold front fascia while the rear gets an extremely beautiful F-Type inspired tail lights. Inside, it has hugging front seats, dual tone finish, large centre console, and new 8 inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with navigation and 825W Meridian audio system with 17 speakers.

The new Jaguar XE is powered by two newly developed 2.0 L i4 Turbocharged petrol engines one in base trim producing 197bhp and other in top trim producing 237bhp. Both motors come paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with AMT version. It is likely to compete with BMW 3 series, Mercedes Benz C class and Audi A4.
