Mercedes launched ultra-luxurious Maybach S 500 and Maybach S 600 sedans in India for Rs. 1.67 crore and Rs. 2.60 crore respectively (ex-showroom Pune).

The Maybach S 500 is driven by V8 twin turbocharged Petrol engine producing 459 hp & 700Nm of torque with power going to rear wheels via a 7G-Tronic gearbox. Mercedes is locally assembling the S 500 at its plant in Chakan, Pune.

The Maybach S 600 gets its power from a 6.0-litre twin turbo V12 that produces 530bhp and a monstrous 830Nm of torque with power going to the rear wheels via a new 9G-Tronic gearbox. The S 600 is being imported into India.
