Mercedes Benz has announced price hike of upto 2% in India starting January next year

Mercedes Benz has also announced price hike of 2% in India from 1st January 2016 after BMW which has previously announced 3% of price hike in all its cars. Mercedes Benz India says the reason of its price hike is the rising input costs and we all have to cope with that.

The price increase will vary with different Model ranges that are in India. There are currently 24 models active in India starting from A-class priced at Rs 27.5 Lakh, going up to 2.7 Cr for the S63 AMG Coupe (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has been on the fast track in the country, recently launching its AMG GTS at Rs. 2.4 Cr (ex-showroom Delhi)..

Commenting on the move, Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director & CEO Roland Folger said “We are compelled to make some price adjustments with rising input costs to our product range, to protect the investment of our customers in the brand, to sustain a profitable business & maintain our premium brand positioning in the market ".
