Mercedes-Benz launches AMG G63 ‘Edition 463’ and AMG GLS63 performance SUVs

Mercedes Benz India added two new models- Mercedes-AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ and Mercedes Benz-AMG GLS 63 to its line of SUVs.

The AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ is available for Rs 2.17 Crores and the AMG GLS 63 starts from Rs 1.58 crores(ex-showroom, Pune).

The Edition 463 gets unique 21-inch five twin-spoke alloys with a glossy rim flange and the AMG strip on the sides. It also comes with a chrome bumper guard and a stainless-steel underride guard along with grey inserts in the side moulds for a meaner look. Since this is a special edition, it comes with the brute muscular boxy styling of the G-Wagen.

The Edition 463 is powered by a 5.5-litre petrol V8 engine that makes 571PS of power (over 20PS more than before) and 760Nm of torque. Using the AMG Speedshift Plus 7-speed automatic gearbox, the G 63 goes from 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds, before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 210kmph.

The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 comes with the signature AMG brand look and high quality interiors. It has LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, panoramic sliding sunroof, 21-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers and AMG body styling.

From interior, it has AMG performance steering wheel wrapped in black Nappa leather, temperature-controlled cup holder, multicontour front seats with heating and massage function, Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system and electrically foldable third-row seats.

The AMG GLS 63 will largely compete with SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
