Mercedes-Benz has launched petrol-powered GLE400 4MATIC SUV in India

Mercedes-Benz has launched a petrol-powered GLE400 4MATIC SUV in India. The car is priced at Rs 74.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company will sell the GLE 400 in India via the CBU route.  

GLE 400 is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo 6-cylinder petrol engine which develops 333hp of power at 5,250-6,000rpm and 480Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission system.

Feature include a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, an 8-inch display for the infotainment system which gets COMAND Online with telematics along with Mercedes-Benz Apps, navigation, telephone, audio, video, internet and Wi-Fi hotspot. Other features include full LED headlamps, an electric sunroof and logo projection lamps on the wing mirrors.

It is equipped with a 14-speaker Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system. Safety and driver assistance features include 6 airbags, crosswind assist, attention assist, active parking assist and brake assist. 

The car also gets ‘dynamic select’ control system which provides five selectable modes i.e. ‘Comfort’, ‘Sport’, ‘Slippery’, ‘Individual’ and ‘Off-road’.
