Mercedes Benz to launch its new gen A-Class facelift today in India

Mercedes Benz India is launching its 2015 edition of its premium hatchback A-class today in India. In 2015, it will be 15th car that the German automaker will launch in India and will be the last launch by Mercedes Benz in India under the  ’15 launches in 2015’ strategy.

The new generation Mercedes Benz A-class has few mechanical changes and cosmetic updates and whole new style and looks. The car looks have changed in terms of design and is looking a lot sleeker with new character lines on side profile. Inside, the car gets the new trim for dashboard and for the 1st time smart phone integration including Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.

The A Class will use same 1.6 L petrol and 2.2 L diesel engines, with A 220 CDI having a boost of 6bhp. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission used for the 1st time and the “ECO display” that will make the driver to maintain a eco friendly driving with low CO2 emission.

Mercedes is also introducing slight changes in the classification with their new models. Instead of ‘CDI’ badging for the diesel variants, the new variants will be termed with a 'D' prefix.
