Mercedes has finally launched their flagship new sportscar the AMG GT S in India market on 24 November 2015 with the price tag of Rs 2.40 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The AMG GT S is the fifth car fully developed by Mercedes AMG and launched in India this year.

AMG GT S is powered by 4.0 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine which gives massive power of 503 bhp along with 650 Nm of torque. The AMG GT S engine is paired with 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox which sends this power to rear wheels. Mercedes offers 5 driving modes in new AMG GT S. It can attain 0-100 km/h in claimed time of 3.8 seconds.

The fancy sportscar includes exciting features like sports seats with heating, stability control, eight airbags, launch control, adjustable dampers, new infotainment system with floating display and burmester sound system.

In terms of safety the new Mercedes AMG GT S gets Collision prevention assist plus, attention assist, lane tracking and lane keeping assist, blind spot assist, adaptive brake and many other safety features. It is likely to compete with other sports cars in India like Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-Type.
