Maruti Suzuki India announced a price hike on its entire range of cars effective from 1st January 2016 in India. The price hike will be up to Rs 20,000 and shall vary based on the model starting from Alto priced at Rs 2.50 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) to Grand Vitara priced Rs 24 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
Maruti Suzuki India has made this move to cover increase in costs due to weakening of rupee against dollar, rise in administrative and other costs. Maruti Suzuki joins a host of automakers like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and Toyota who have already announced price hike starting 2016 in India.
