Maruti officially announced name of its YBA concept compact SUV as Vitara Brezza. Maruti also officially released a teaser image of Vitara Brezza which is expected to launch soon after it is showcased in India at the Auto Expo 2016. Vitara is taken from the Popular SUV Vitara as Maruti seems to expand its Vitara brand line up and Brezza means “fresh breeze” in Italy. It is likely to compete with Mahindra TUV 100 and Ford EcoSport.

It is a sub four meter five seater compact SUV which will be placed below the S-cross. Vitara Brezza seems to borrow the styling and specification from popular SUV Vitara. The highlights of its design includes high ground clearance, square wheel arches, short overhangs, an upright hood, floating roof effect and rising belt line. Interior include a touch-screen infotainment system along with climate control and dual airbags are given as standard in all variants. It is expected to be powered by 1.2 L VVT petrol engine and 1.3 L Multijet diesel engine, both mated to a 5 speed transmission as standard.
