SUV maker Mahindra has launched a Sportz edition variant of its flagship SUV offering in India - XUV500. This Sportz edition is offered in the W10 trim with a choice of either a manual or an automatic transmission. The SUV is priced at Rs 16.53 lakh for MT variant and Rs 17.56 lakh for AT variant.

XUV500 Sportz edition gets sporty decals on the bonnet, ORVMs and the lower sections of the doors. It also gets red-coloured door handles, roof rails and inserts in front fog lamps. 

To make the SUV sportier, Mahindra is offering a new set of alloy wheels with red brake callipers and ‘Sportz’ badges on the C-pillar, Dashboard, its Key as well as at the rear of the vehicle.

Apart from all stickers,  it comes loaded with creature-comforts like all disc brakes, ABS with EBD, half-a-dozen airbags, reverse parking camera with dynamic assist, cruise control, follow-me-home headlamps, electric sunroof, micro hybrid technology and rain sensing wipers. 

Mechanically, it remains the same which means Sportz Edition SUV is powered by the same 2.2-litre mHAWK turbo-diesel engine that develops 140PS of max. power and 330Nm of peak torque. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) system comes as standard  in both the models.
