Mahindra has officially launched AMT (Automatic Transmission) variant of its successful model XUV500 in India. The AMT variant comes with a starting price of Rs 15.53 lakhs (ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai). The new AMT XUV500 will be available at Mahindra showrooms from 5 December onwards.

There are no exterior changes. In cabin, it gets sporty interior design, electric sunroof, ORVMs with logo projection lamps, 7 inch infotainment system and automatic temperature control. The AMT XUV500 gives a mileage of 13.85 kmpl.

The XUV500 AMT continues to be powered by 2.2 liter mHawk turbo diesel engine which produces 140bhp and 330Nm torque. The engine is mated with 6 speed automatic gearbox. The automatic trim gets some new features like, Tilt and Telescopic power steering, Electronic Stability Program, Reverse parking camera, Hill hold and Hill descent control with 6 way power adjustable driver seat and many more.
