Mahindra has launched its compact suv, the NuvoSport

Mahindra launched the NuvoSport on 4th April at a price of Rs. 7.35 Lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It is a sub-four metre, seven-seater SUV by Mahindra's after the TUV300. Targeted at the young audience who wants an “active, outdoorsy lifestyle”, the NuvoSport will target those looking for a budget SUV.

 

The car is designed and developed at the Mahindra Research Valley in Tamil Nadu. NuvoSport gets a restyled front fascia and refreshed interiors that are more refined and modern in its class.

 

Mechanically, it is powered by 1.5-litre diesel engine producing power of 100bhp and 240Nm of peak torque. Engine is mated to five Speed manual and an optional AMT and the car will return a mileage of 17.45 kmpl.

 

The NuvoSport is now equipped with a host of interesting gadgets such as  touchscreen infotainment system, Kenwood music system, navigation, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, reverse parking camera, Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity, ORVMs, black side cladding and new alloy wheels.

 

The car gets ABS with EBD as standard across entire range. Airbags are optional for the base variant and standard on higher trims.

 

The sub-compact SUV's rivals are maruti Suzuki vitara brezza and ford ecosport.
