Jaguar Land Rover has started accepting bookings for diesel trim of the XE sedan. This entry-level luxury sedan can now be booked in India through any of the 24 Jaguar dealers across India.

The upcoming Jaguar XE diesel will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor that churns out 178bhp of power and 430Nm of torque. This engine also belongs to the company's newly developed Ingenium engine family.

Apart from this, the new Jaguar XE diesel will be offered with JaguarDrive Control that will have different modes, namely; Normal, Eco, Dynamic or Rain Ice Snow. The XE will also receive InControl Touch with an 8-inch touchscreen with a touch and swipe controls for audio, climate and satellite navigation.

The Jaguar XE was launched at the Auto Expo 2016 with a 200bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine in February 2016. The petrol edition is offered in three variants - Pure, Prestige and Portfolio.

The new Jaguar XE is expected to hit the showroom by mid-May, 2017 and will be priced around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
