Jaguar E-Pace to Be Unveiled On July 13

Jaguar's first-ever SUV, the F-Pace, has acknowledged an extremely positive response from buyers around the world. It was rewarded for blending the capabilities of an urban SUV with the handling characteristics of a sporty sedan. The success of the F-Pace prompted the company to have more SUVs in the lineup. The all-electric I-Pace is previously under development and will set out on sale in 2018. The latest model to join the family is the E-Pace.

The new E-Pace will be unveiled on July 13, 2017. The SUV is likely to enter production sometime in 2018 and land on our shores in 2019. Expect the prices to start around the Rs 55 lakh mark.

The E-Pace will have similar styling as its elder sibling, the F-Pace but smaller proportions. It is expected to be powered by 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines that are under the hood of other Jaguar cars. The engines are expected to be coupled to an 8-speed auto box that will transmit the power to all-four or two wheels, depending upon the variants.

Moreover, Jaguar is also likely to set up a performance-focused variant which might have 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine under its hood.

It will compete with the SUVs like the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3 and the upcoming Volvo XC60.
