Honda to recall 1,90,578 cars in India to replace faulty airbags

Japanese automaker Honda Cars India has announced a voluntary recall of around 1,90,578 cars to rectify faulty airbags. The model includes - Accord, CR-V, Civic, City and Jazz. The replacement will be carried out free of cost at company dealerships across India.

While the campaign for CR-V and Civic will begin immediately, the replacement of airbag system for other affected models would begin from September 2016, and the company will communicate with customers directly. Honda Customers can check whether their cars are covered under this campaign by submitting their 17- character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite which has been created on the company’s website.
