Honda has officially launched the Accord Hybrid in the Thailand market. The car is available in two variants: Accord Hybrid and Accord Hybrid Tech, it is priced from 1,659,000 baht (approximately Rs 31.83 lakh) to 1,849,000 baht (approximately Rs 35.45 lakh) in Thailand.

Honda has updated the hybrid powertrain of the vehicle. This hybrid version comes with a 2.0-litre Atkinson Cycle i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine, coupled with two electric motors. The engine is mated to an E-CVT transmission and there is a 1.3 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack for motors.

Both, the engine and motors develop a combined power of 215PS and returns a good fuel efficiency of 23.8kmpl. Besides the hybrid, Honda Cars India is likely to launch the non-hybrid and updated version of the Accord. The non-hybrid version will have a 2.4L engine that produces 176PS of power and 225Nm of torque and will be mated to a CVT transmission.
