Following the growing lifestyle and demand for touchscreen infotainment systems in cars, Ford India has begun development on their own touchscreen infotainment systems which are most likely to be introduced in the Figo and the Figo Aspire. As of now, Ford only offers a touchscreen unit in the Endeavour. All other Ford models feature the SYNC 1 system.

The inclusion of a touchscreen system will require a total redesign of the centre console. New touchscreen system is likely to be introduced on the facelifted Figo and Figo Aspire which are expected to make their debut in 2018 following which, it will be introduced in other upcoming models from the company.

Features like Touchscreen infotainment systems have started becoming a big selling factors for cars across segments. Renault’s Kwid is the cheapest car to feature the touch infotainment system in India.
