Ford motors India to replace faulty brake equipment in 48,700 units of its best selling SUV EcoSport

Ford motor India has announced a recall of 48,700 units of EcoSport SUV to fix faulty fuel and brake lines, which were manufactured between April 2013 and June 2014, whereas 700 units are being called in to replace the bolts on the split folding rear seats.

According to the carmaker, “the 40 percent rear seat backrest might have been assembled with bolts that do not meet Ford’s material specification”, and therefore could be prone to failure.

The carmaker has asked the EcoSport owners of affected vehicles to get in touch with their local ford dealer to replace the faulty parts at zero cost. This is the Ford’s second recall in just two months, previously there was a recall of the Figo and Figo Aspire over model’s airbags issue.
