Ferrari recalled its 231,000 185 California T over the issue of affected fuel line

Ferrari, the Italian sports car has issued a recall for 231,000 Ferrari 185-California T 2016 in North America. The issue is its affected fuel line which may lead to fuel leak and subsequent risk of fire.

This issue affects Ferrari California T cars built between September 8 and November 11, 2015 where the low pressure fuel line may not connect properly to the fuel pump feed pipe and may result in fuel leak inside the engine bay. Owing to the inflammable nature of the high octane fuel used in these cars, it increases the chances of catching fire.

Ferrari North America has issued this recall where the owners have been notified and the low pressure fuel line assembly will be replaced by dealers free of cost. While it has to be seen if any cars in India have been affected by this issue, California T owners can contact the Delhi and the Mumbai Ferrari dealerships for further clarity on the issue.
