Delhi Government decided to implement the radical ‘odd-even’ formula second time for duration of fifteen days starting April 15, 2016. The scheme was first implemented for a 15-day trial period starting January 1, 2016, in a bid to reduce pollution levels in the city.
Under this Scheme, cars having registration numbers ending with an odd digit were allowed on odd dates, while cars having registration number ending with an even digit were allowed on even dates.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said “the decision to bring back the radical scheme was taken from 11 Lakh feedbacks from people that the plan was predominantly positive.”
