Datsun India has received over 10,000 bookings for the Redi-go since its launch last month. The Redi-Go is powered by the same 800cc engine as the Renault Kwid and claims a class-leading ARAI-rated fuel-economy of 25.17kmpl. It is available in five variants – D, A, T, T(O), S – of which, the ‘S’ gets a driver-side airbag. The Datsun Redi-go starts at Rs 2.39 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Based on the same CMF-A platform, the Datsun Redi-Go measures 3,429 mm long, 1,560 mm wide, 1,541 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,348 mm. The car offers best-in-class ground clearance of 185 mm and has a good boot space of 222 litres.
The rival to this entry-level hatchback are Maruti Alto 800 and Renault Kwid.
