Chevrolet Auto India issued recall of over one Lakh car units of Chevrolet Beat. Recall was issued due to defective clutch pedal of diesel variant manufactured between December 2010 and July 2014. The clutch pedal installed on these cars may not be strong enough to sustain continuous usage and may fail due to fatigue.

Chevrolet Auto India told customers to take their affected cars to the nearest authorized service centre and Chevrolet will check and replace the faulty part free of cost.Chevrolet earlier recalled 1.14 lakh units of their SUV Chevrolet Tavera over emission and specifications issues.
