Chennai Floods: many automakers raised their helping hand

Many automakers like Bajaj Auto, Hyundai, Mahindra, Honda and Fiat came forward to help in Chennai floods

The recent heavy rain and floods in Chennai and its surrounding areas greatly affected the economy of Tamil Nadu. Production operations of many auto brands were shutdown for many days due to floods. Despite loss of production and operation shutdown, many Indian automakers have pitched in to offer their support both with funds and services.

Bajaj Auto & Bajaj finance donated Rs 10 Crore towards for the Prime Minister National Relief Fund -  both donated Rs 5 crore each. Hyundai also Donated Rs. 2 Crore for Chennai floods relief. Mahindra, Honda and Fiat organized free vehicle check-up and service camps for the affected customers and were giving great discounts on spare parts and on value added services like anti-rust, paint protection etc to their customers.
