Heavy rainfall in Chennai crippled many automotive companies to halt their production and sales

The heavy rainfall in Chennai affected many automotive companies cramping them up under heavy losses that is estimated close to $2.2 Billion. The areas in outskirt of Chennai housing many automotive companies is called “Detroit of India”. The heavy rainfall had once again pushed them hard Twice in one month to shut down their production, deliveries and sales virtually incapacitating them. 

Automotive companies that were forced to halt their production include Renault-Nissan, Ford, BMW, Hyundai and Apollo Tyres from Wednesday this week. The big effect also showed on their share prices which went down up to 4% on Wednesday.
