Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the performance variant of the Baleno at Rs 8.69 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It is available in Alpha trim only. Maruti has introduced RS with Suzuki’s Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine which gives more power with better fuel efficiency.

Mechanically, the Baleno RS is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine from the Boosterjet series. This engine outputs 102PS of max power at 5,500rpm and 150Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

Talking of exterior, the Baleno RS comes with revised front and rear bumpers. Front of car is aggressive with a new mesh grille, while the chrome elements are identical to its regular model.

Coming to features, the RS variant is based on the Alpha trim of the Baleno. It offers same goodies such as Bi-xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps with graphics, 7.0-inch Suzuki SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay support.

Safety wise, Baleno RS offers dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and a Rear view Camera.
