Honda Amaze Privilege Edition Launched At Rs 6.48 Lakh

A fresh limited edition of the Honda Amaze has been launched in India and comes with additional features.

This all new Honda Amaze Privilege Edition is priced at Rs 6,48,888 for the petrol variant and Rs 7,73,631 for the diesel trim (both prices ex-showroom New Delhi).

The special edition is based on the S (O) version of the standard Amaze sedan. While the engine options remain the same, Honda has brought in some cosmetic changes and new features to differentiate it from the regular car. The exterior boasts of new decals and a 'Privilege Edition' emblem at the rear. The interior retains the same design and layout, but comes with a Privilege Edition-themed beige coloured seat covers. A new driver’s arm rest has been added as a part of this package.

The new Honda Amaze Privilege Edition will be offered with a Digipad, which is a new 17.7cm infotainment system with audio, video and navigation support. It remains to be the highlight as it features built-in satellite linked 3D Navigation, internal memory of 1.5GB and mirror link support with smartphone compatibility.

Moreover, it can also provide internet access through a Wi-Fi receiver. The latter, however, will have to be purchased as an add-on. It should be noted that this system does not come paired to a rear-view camera but gets parking sensors as a standard.

As the new Honda Amaze is a limited edition model, it remains mechanically unchanged and is available with either the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol or 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission like the S(O) MT trim. In terms of safety, the S(O) variant, on which the special edition is based, comes with dual airbags in the petrol variant, while the diesel variant gets the addition of anti-lock braking system (ABS) as well.

Prices of the all new Honda Amaze Privilege Edition for the petrol version is Rs 6.49 lakh, while the diesel model retails at Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Honda’s Amaze goes against the likes of the Hyundai Xcent, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, and the Volkswagen Ameo in the sub-4-metre compact sedan segment.
