The 2017 BMW 5 Series has been launched in India at Rs 49.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). This seventh generation saloon is being offered in one petrol and three diesel variants – 530i, 520d Sport Line, 520d Luxury Line and the 530d M Sport.

From inside, the feature list includes four-zone climate control, a new-gen iDrive system and electric seats with massage functions. The black and beige cabin along with aluminium inserts give the 5 Series a premium feel. The longer wheelbase has improved the cabin space for the occupants’ comfort. The fresh iDrive system now supports gesture control.

Those looks are accompanied by features such as adaptive dampers, LED headlamps with optional adaptive LED lights and an anti-dazzle high-beam tech that extends the viewing range up to half a kilometre.

The 530i petrol variant gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, delivering 248bhp and 350Nm of torque. The 520d gets 2.0-litre four-cylinder which delivers 190bhp and 400Nm of torque.
