The wait for new Audi Q7 seems to be finally over. Audi India has decided to launch its latest SUV later this month. It is expected to reach Indian dealership on 10 December, 2015, Audi will probably announce the official date in next few days. The new generation Audi Q7 comes with some mechanical changes along with considerable cosmetic updates compared to the previous model.

The biggest change that is expected is its massive reduced weight. It is 375 kg lighter than its previous Models. The new Q7 is 1,970 mm wide, 5,050 mm long and wheelbase of 2,990mm. It has 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 engine that produces a maximum power of 333 bhp and a peak torque of 440 Nm.Initially Audi Q7 will be introduced as a CBU (complete built up) unit but its local assembly is expected to start soon at Audi’s Aurangabad plant in 2016.

It is expected to compete with Mercedes Benz GL, volvo XC90 and BMW X5
